It’s difficult to keep up with this blog while I’m away from my home and my own computer. We had a busy week in Milwaukee, and although I always miss my family tremendously when we leave, it is good to be home.
We worked on wedding plans–I shopped with my girls for bridesmaids dresses, and on Friday we tasted a whole mess of cakes. We decided to go with Scardina’s bakery, which had the best tasting frosting and fillings, although the other lady was very nice and made beautiful cakes.
I also got a chance to see my grandpa a couple times and my aunts. We ate out a whole lot. I got my hair done. I got a new toy: my Nikon Coolpix 4200. And for my mom’s birthday, the whole family went bar hopping. I love my family.
And we were even lucky enough to get black raspberry Kopp’s custard.
Here is a picture of a beer that cost one dollar. Needless to say we had a few.
So, now we’re back in Virginia where the apartment must be cleaned, the priest must be telephoned, the laundry done, the registry created, the save-the-date cards completed and mailed, the books bought for the semester ahead, and all must be done this week. Huzzah.
