- Not missing our Thursday pre-dawn flight because of getting lost in DC due to several wrong turns and my inability to actually read a map that early in the morning.
- Seeing Mom and the dog on Thursday afternoon.
- Eating veal and asparagus for dinner with Mom and the in-laws, though I did feel bad because Mom-in-law was hurting and uncomfortable.
- Cocktail hour.
- Lunch at Cafe Lulu, or more specifically, pie at Cafe Lulu.
- Playing Lego Star Wars with James, to show his mom how it’s done. And then watching her play. Or try to.
- Sushi with Ben. And Half Price Books.
- Talking wedding plans with Sean.
- Talking reproduction with Ben, featuring various hilarious interjections from Sean.
- Bacon.
- Baby Kelly getting married.
- Hanging out with my sisters.
- Being inebriated (though the morning shakes I could have done without).
- Limo rides.
- Sunday Brunch, featuring a favorite wedding entree.
- Napping on the couch and occasionally opening my eyes to catch a few favorite scenes of Father of the Bride.
- Chocolate and red raspberry frozen custard.
- Hanging with the old group, laughing so hard about I can’t remember what, even though Ben was a little bit grumpy early on, Rob kept checking his cell phone and Michelle felt more like studying music for awhile, it was still fun to be around everyone.
- Hot apple cider. That cider was hot.
- Cookies for breakfast.
- Lunch with my folks, though the saying goodbye and the two hours at the airport are never fun, lunch was good.
- Getting home tonight and watching last night’s Venture Brothers.
Now that we’re back, only a few more days until Vegas. The dress code is business casual during the daytime and business formal on Friday night. I honestly have no idea what that means, but I think that it means Sara should go shopping on Wednesday. Ugh.
